So a few months ago I had the chance to attend the I Heart Faces Photography Conference in Columbus, OH. It was a weekend, away from family, where just you and many other photographers wanting to learn and reconnect reunited. I must say it was a little intimidating for me, but I got through it. The ladies were so welcoming and just overall sweet. I learned a lot from myself and where I want to be in the photography business.
This journey has been a little bit confusing to me, perhaps because I am still fairly new at it. There are so many directions you can take, but the one thing that I cannot forget was what photographer, Jennifer Tonetti-Spellman from JellyBean Pictures said: “Figure out what makes your heart sing”.
What makes my heart sing? … I must say that children do. They make me feel at ease. After this “enlightening moment”, I’ve thought a whole lot on what I want, and perhaps moving forward there will be a few changes.
Not only were the speakers awesome, but what I enjoyed the most was the Photo Walk on our last day. They had models and a photographer at each station just showing us what they do to get those natural smiles we all love and just make them feel comfortable. I loved it! Here are some shots from our models in the Photo Walk.
Thank you Angie and Amy for putting together this awesome experience for us photographers who need that little push and encouragement!
